Dutch Farm

The farm is located in Sitio Bobosawen, South of Puerto Princesa, Palawan – Philippines, where the translucent turquoise water and diverse flora and fauna, beach forest, tropical lowland evergreen, ultramafic and limestone mountain cliffs meet.

The 78.59 hectares property was acquired in late 2013, but the project was first initiated on March 5, 2017, as a coconut plantation. The initial nursery was started in September 2017 and the farm planting commenced in February 2018.  Now, 10 hectares have been planted with dwarf and hybrid coconuts and the project is still ongoing.

Agri Products

Dutch Farm’s main mission is to be able to grow and distribute food supplies locally and the exportation of health and wellness bio-products. Dutch Farm has the possibility to grow food for millions of people. Growing fruits and vegetables, meat and poultry, and bio-products are the core target that could possibly generate revenue to provide sustainable developments, jobs and food security in the Southeast Asian region.

Tourism
Dutch Farm’s agri-tourism plan includes tree-houses, cottages, glamping experience, wellness and spa. In addition, Dutch Farm will house a Tree-top Adventure theme park and will also collaborate with nearby independently owned travel and tour packages such as island tours and mountain adventure tours.

The farm itself is offering guests a beach farm holiday and adventure, in a beautiful pristine setting. The tour is comprised of beach and island appreciation of nature and farming practices.

The need to protect the land, increase food production and help mitigate against climate change has become critical to our enterprise.

That is why, Dutch Farm will be engaging in practices using tools— in the form of science-based farming, drone technology and managed ecosystem to make our operations more resilient and sustainable for the long term.

Zoning System

Dutch Farm will be using a zoning system to cater to different and diversified products in different classifications.

In this specific project, we are allocating several acres of land to raise coconut trees; herbs & spices; fruits and vegetables; as well as animal farming.
Coconut is one of the world’s most popular superfoods. Coconut can be seen every day, such as satisfying ourselves from thirst to baked products or dessert, hair and skincare, laundry products, floor and wall tiling and other house uses. In less than a decade ago, the worlds’ population found the benefits of coconut water. It is no wonder the coconut is called the miracle fruit, for its many health benefits and everyday use.

Palawan’s population and tourism are growing by leaps and bounds. To utilize the farm efficiently, Dutch Farm is going to supply the markets with organically grown herbs, fruits, and vegetables.

Farm to Fork Tours and Southern Palawan Adventures

Farm to Fork is a business concept that emphasizes that farmers have a direct relationship with restaurants or markets.

We aim to provide Palawan restaurants and markets excellent quality and freshness of the food they get from the farms— items will often be delivered directly to the restaurants or markets within hours of being harvested—as well as the ability to get speciality items that are not that many people in their area grow.

In the future

Dutch Farm would promote or provide educational tours and adventures to the public to showcase our farming system.
